One of my goals for Confessions of a Boss Babe is to help empower other boss babes. When I started my blog, I knew that I wanted to have an interview section to help other ladies be seen and grow.

Today, I am excited to introduce Sasha Lassey from Everyday She’s Sparkling! I stumbled upon Sasha’s Facebook group, Blogging Babes Collective, a few months ago and she has become my blogging mentor! I have learned so much in her group!

Let’s meet Sasha!

Tell Me About Your Business. What Would You Like Us to Know?

I absolutely love helping people. And I love watching people succeed. My biggest source of gratitude comes when someone offers an amazing testimonial for me or say’s that they’ve learned something that they never knew before. I always knew I was a teacher of sorts and I’m so lucky to have found this blogging world that I can help other growing an aspiring women entrepreneurs.

What Made You Pursue Your Business? Was it Something You Always Wanted to Do?

I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. I’ve had at least five businesses in the last 15 years and always knew that working for myself was always going to be my best option. Blogging however, came by chance.

A good friend and co-worker of mine suggested starting a blog over a year ago. I gave some thought and then pushed it aside. Then she mentioned it again several months later and I gave some real thought, did some research and decided it would be a fun idea.

I fell in love with the idea of blogging almost overnight, and wanted to absorb everything there was to know about how to blog and teaching people how to blog.

What Does a Typical Work Day Look Like for You?

Since I haven’t been yet able to leave my nine-to-five job, my day starts a bit early. I usually get up between 4 and 5 a.m. every morning, and then blog until around 7:45 when I have to get ready for work. I use my small pockets of time during breaks at work to answer emails, participate in Facebook share threads, and work on my Pinterest. Generally after work is reserved for my family and my kids, mostly because my brain has expired by then LOL. But I’m back at it first thing the next morning.

If You Could Give Women One Piece of Advice, What Would it Be?

I would say stop dreaming and just go for it. As women we spend so much time trying to balance all of the juggling acts we have between kids, marriage, work, and having a bit of our own life. We often spend so much time thinking about how our decisions will affect all of those things and spend less time driving towards what we want our future to look like. Take the leap, take it today, and do amazing things! You’re so worth it!

If You Could Sit Down and Interview Any Boss Babe, Who Would You Choose and Why?

On a recent trip to Mexico with my husband, I watched the story of Maya Angelou on the airplane ride. I had seen quotes from her several times, and even quoted them myself in my blog posts and blog pages. But I never knew how inspirational and how amazing she was. She was a woman before her time, a woman who knew what her force was and how she could impact the world. She had drive and determination and never let a bad time put her down. I would love to interview her. She was an amazing woman and spirit, that we could all learn something from.

Sasha, I enjoyed doing the interview. Thank you for providing me with so much information over the last few months and being my blogging mentor! I wish you success in all your future endeavors!
