One of my goals for Confessions of a Boss Babe is to help empower other boss babes. When I started my blog, I knew that I wanted to have an interview section to help other ladies be seen and grow.
Today, I am excited to introduce Abigail Glenn with AbigailMorgen.com . Abigail was kind enough to answer some interview questions for me.
Let’s meet Abigail!
Tell Me About Your Business. What Would You Like Us to Know?
I am a marketing and branding consultant. My favorite part of my business is the audit portion. I love creating an audit and ideas of where we can bring someone’s marketing or branding. I also love looking back at the audit during our process and seeing how far we get and how much we achieve throughout the consultation process.
I also offer other services that follow the consultation portion such as; social media management, content creation, logo and banner design, website design and development, etc. My favorite social media platform has to be Instagram as there are so many possibilities with it to show your creativity to the world!
What Made You Pursue Your Business? Was it Something You Always Wanted to Do?
When I first went to college, I was looking into the health field (i.e. becoming a nurse, physical therapist, or physician’s assistant). I realized those careers just weren’t for me and I happened to be helping plan a gala event for my sorority and realized how much I love event planning, so I switched majors out of the health field into marketing to follow my creative passions.
After three different internships in marketing and event planning (did corporate and weddings) and a few marketing jobs, I realized this is exactly where I want to be. I decided to go into my own business because I want the luxury of helping businesses get their marketing and branding where it should be and to really go and do that, I saw the need to start my own business. I wanted to decide my own future and where it goes and starting my own business really allows me to do so.
What Does a Typical Work Day Look Like for You?
So, I am actually working full-time at a filtration manufacturing company doing their marketing (print and digital) and usually that is from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM CST. I then go home and work on my own business work. They are long days but it will be worth it in the end! Just have to keep pushing through it!
If You Could Give Women One Piece of Advice, What Would it Be?
Don’t let anyone stand in the way of your dreams. I went through some road blocks of cyber bullying and them telling me that I was not good enough to be in marketing and look where I am now. I am starting a marketing and branding consulting company!
Letting someone else tell you that you are not good enough is never true. Some people just like to bring others down to help their own self-esteem which is horrible. You are good enough and you can do it! Put yourself out there and go!
If You Could Sit Down and Interview Any Boss Babe, Who Would You Choose and Why?
Rachel Hollis, she is the main reason why I just went and started my business. I was sitting on the idea for so long with the fear of actually going for it, but after watching The Made for More Movie and reading Girl Wash Your Face, I was empowered to actually just go out and put myself out there. I think it would be amazing to go sit and interview her as I would love to see what she has to say!
Lets Get to Know Abigail a Little More…
Coffee or tea? Coffee definitely!
Favorite Book? Girl Wash Your Face.
Guilty Pleasure? Freshly shredded cheddar cheese…it’s weird but I love eating cheddar cheese that was just shredded, sometimes even for a late-night snack.
Last Show you binge watched? American Housewife! If you haven’t watched this yet, you should! It is hilarious!
If you could have lunch with any woman, past or present, who would it be and why? Audrey Hepburn! I just love her, and she seemed to be an amazing and sincere woman. I would love to sit down with her and just see all of the experiences that she went thought and how she got to where she was! Definitely my favorite actress of all time!
Abigail, I enjoyed interviewing you! You are a very inspiring woman and I wish you success in all your future endeavors!
